While waiting to hear back from some of the other more well known hotels about availability, I am looking at some less expensive options that will fit our needs. Does anyone have any info on Il Gabbiano? Seems the only online reviews I can find relate to the restaurant, and not the rooms.
Thank you! And if you have any other suggestions for accomodations, that would be great! Looking for clean, quiet at night, room for next September. We don't need fancy-clean and comfortable will do! :).
Priced under €150/night would be an added plus....
We have stayed at this place, Locanda Il Maestrale, in Monterosso each time we have been to the CT. We will stay again when we go back in 2017. Gracious hosts, Gionvanni and Stefania, centrally located in old town. Check it out.
Thanks for the link Charlie....I will check it out. Just heard back from Villa Steno, and they are booked for next September!
You could try Hotel Pasquale which is owned by the same family as Villa Steno and is right on the waterfront just past the tunnel from the new part of town and the train station.
In 2005 and in 2007 we stayed at Locanda Il Maestrale which is so beautiful, comfortable, serves a lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the street and has such friendly, helpful staff. In 2010 though, due to travel partners' budget, we stayed at Albergo Marina and loved that too, it's just not as "fancy" as Maestrale but comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff and we enjoyed the rooftop garden once we could find it.
