I know you can't wear a hat in the church, but if I am wearing a panama hat for the day, will they let me carry it in? Can I wear it on the roof?

Yes and yes. You can carry a hat in the church and you can wear it on the roof. Just be careful the wind does not get it.

Yes, you can carry it in and wear it on the terraces, and remember to cover your shoulders!
