I am sure everyone is tired of my questions by now, but a few more wont hurt. If this was your last trip to Tuscany, and you had only had time to visit one hill town, which one would you choose, and why? Or, if you were to move to Italy and take up residence, which town would you want to live in, and why? What was special about it to you, which little restaurant do you think about in the cool of the evening. The information I have recieved from all of you has been invaluable, and I thank you for your time. Thanks Jeff
Hi, Jeff!
Well, this is an easy one for me! :-)
My favorite hill town in Toscana is Civitella in Val di Chiana. It is a very small town a few kilometers outside of Arezzo one valley over from the more well known valley of Chianti.
My uncle lives there, and I have many fond memories of our numerous visits over the years. If you're interested, you can see Civitella on my website at: http://home.comcast.net/~bepineurope/
I can't imagine a more beautiful and peaceful place. If you're ever in the area do yourself a favor and check it out! :-)
Happy travels!
