We stumbled across a lovely, small, informal, very reasonably priced vegetarian resturant in Rome tonight. Not far off of Campo de' Fiori on Via del Pellegrino 85 it is called Orio di Maramao and has wonderful soups, salads, tortas, and assorted other items. It is open all day until eleven at night. The owner told us that he opened seven months ago. He was friendly and charming as well as generous...he gave us cake and cookies at no charge. He does have a website, www.ortodimaramao.com but it is only in Italian. I know we will return, even though we aren't vegetarians, and feel others would enjoy this nice change from pizza and pasta.
