Looking for ideas for new places to visit that are convenient to get to/from Florence.
These places look interesting to me: Bologna, Ravenna and San Marino.
We have done the 21-day tour that took in Venice, Cinque Terre and Florence and
have traveled to Milan, Lake Como and Assisi in previous years. I've not booked air
yet and we are retired so not tied into work schedules. Thanks

Well Dona, Bologna is very interesting and delicious, with easy side or day trips to Parma, Modena, Ravenna and its incredible mosaics, plus various other small towns and villages. Orvieto and other towns further north in Umbria are wonderful. And then, many people enjoy that old town called Roma, a quick trip from Florence. Throw a dart, or two!
