i just got this ibm thinkpad from ebay, and after a couple days,i went to turn it on and it just went to a page asking if i want to start in safe mode or start windows normally or last good configuration and i have tried all of them and it just keeps going back to that page after trying to start,do you know what i need to do?

An interesting travel question for the Italian section. I think you would want to post your computer question on a board that is specific to that subject. You could trying googling IBM thinkpad and see what you get.

As Frank mentioned, not really an "Italy travel" related question, but I'll try to offer a few suggestions anyway.
My first suggestion would be to try a local computer shop that also does repairs. For a small fee, I'm sure they could get everything set up for you. You could also check your local phone books to find out if there's a "Rent-A-Geek" office or something similar in your area. It's possible that there's a "bug" in the OS, so you may need professional help to get it sorted.
I use a Mac so I'm not thoroughly familiar with PC problems. However, I use PC's extensively at work, so I've seen some of the difficulties that can occur.
