Because today is the day I’m going back! It seems surreal after planning, cancelling , waiting for almost 2.5 years we finally get to go!
I’m more anxious this time for some reason. Maybe because we are taking our sons and for some odd reason I feel responsible for the whole crew, although they are grown up young men.
But, I am excited and will probably be even more so when we get going. Weather forecast looks great.

I know the feeling! We’re going to Europe this July and it is a feeling of “at last we can experience the joy of travel” once again. I never realized how much I would miss it until it was taken away, but now we’ll enjoy it even more and learn to treasure the moments.

Glad we’re not planning to visit any major sights, been here a few times and plan to just hang out in Trastevere for our last few days of trip

Do you mean crowded more than previous visits (mine were all pre-pandemic) or more crowded than you thought it would be during covid?
