I have been trying to fax the vatican with the number they have on there web site but it will not go through. Does anyone have any other ideas. I'm using the number 06 6988 4019. Thanks Ron

They are, unfortunately, notorious for these kinds of troubles. Having heard of similar difficulties, I have booked Angel Tours for the Vatican - they are very well recommended on this site.

It sounds ridiculously simple, but make sure you're doing it during Vatican business hours. They appear to turn their fax machine off after 5pm, Rome time. Also make sure you dial the country code out of the US (011).

It was very easy to book the tour via email. Takes a few days to get confirmation, and you can only do it 30 days before. good luck.
