I have a printed out, do I still need to get a ticket for Florence Duomo climb?

I bought my tickets on-lined and also made my reservation for the Duomo climb for two. I received a pdf with a bar code on the upper right corner. Can I use this bar code for the scanner at the Duomo entrance? Or I still have to go to the ticket office, show them the pdf , and exchange it for two tickets? Thanks.

I can not answer your question but have a similar question to add if anyone has advice. In Rick's guidebook he advises to wait until arrival in Florence to purchase the Firenze Card since you still have to exchange a voucher and physically pick up the card. He also gives a price of 72euro. On the website I can purchase a digital Firenze Card for my smart phone for 85euro with no pick up necessary. This would be a good option since we are arriving late evening and only have two full days in Florence.

Like Samuelito I want to know if this is legit or will I still need to exchange a voucher number. Has anyone purchased and used a digital Firenze card? Is the price increase legit as well?
Thank you for any advise!

Sheila, I can only answer the part of the question about the price and yes, the increase is legit. Whether a physical or digital card, the price is €85. It reflects ticket-price increases for the Uffizi and Pitti that occurred after the guidebook went to press. This is why it's always best to check the actual websites for attractions and passes for any very recent changes in price or hours, or notices for temporary closures. From the Firenzecard website:

http://www.firenzecard.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20&Itemid=119&lang=en

"How much does Firenzecard cost?
Firenzecard costs € 85.00 per person. The price of Firenzecard is the same, whether it is purchased online or at a sale point."

The same FAQ section of the website linked above should be helpful for your questions about the digital card and how it works.

The pdf with the bar code for each person is your ticket and you scan it at the entrances. I had to show my reservation for dome climb but the only thing they scanned was the bar code on my ticket. I didn't buy the Firenze card, so can't answer how that works.

If I remember correctly from our visit to Florence in April, Doumo climb reservation is a voucher and you still have to go to a ticket window for the actual ticket. I was sick that day, but my husband whined a bit that I didn't tell him he had to go to the ticket window first.
