YES, definitely! The answer to your questions about getting back to the hotel are answered in your other thread.
One point to mention regarding riding the Vaporetti - DON'T forget to validate your ticket prior to boarding the boat. This is accomplished by tapping your ticket on the electronic reader, and if you get a "beep" and a green light, you're good to go.
