I am so confused !

Not sure how to get to Cinque Terre from Praque without giving up valuable time! Also, thinking of Tuscany for a day or 2. What would be the best way to handle the visit leaving on June 5 from Prague and arriving in Italy till June 9.....then flying out of Pisa on the very early flight to US?

linda, I'll be travelling the same route from Prague to the Cinque Terre in September. I already have a flight booked with EasyJet and although the flight is only about 1.5 hours, I'm not planning to arrive in the CT until early evening. That flight departs at 13:25 and arrives at 14:50. I'm a bit puzzled on why you haven't been able to find a flight, as Flight 2548 departs every day including Sundays (AFAIK)? I just checked their website and they DO have flights listed, although the price is not entirely "favourable" (the current listing is €374.59 PP). That's why it's usually a good idea to book early with the budget airlines! IMO, that's still the easiest option for travel from Prague to the CT, so I'd probably just pay the current charge. If you have to spend a long day travelling that route, you'll probably need to add a night in a Hotel, which would increase the cost of travel by train. Good luck and happy travels!

Wizz Air will fly you from Prague to Milan-Bergamo on June 5th for only 116 euros. There is a shuttle bus every 30 minutes from the Bergamo airport to the Milan central train station.

Check out flights which will probably be cheaper and of course, quicker: Prague to Milan or Prague to Pisa.
Last year we had a similar situation leaving Prague for northern Italy and flew on Air Italia. Even flying, it took the bulk of the day.

I'd suggest flying Easyjet Prague to Milan, then taking a train from Milan to La Spezia - where you can easily connect to the local Cinque Terre train. I think this would be the quickest and least expensive way to do it.

Thanks , only I did check easyjet to milan and on Sunday 5 they don't have any flights.. We could leave on Monday, but that cuts out another day for Italy as we are only staying thru Thursday

Thanks, I will check out Wizz Air, never heard of it! Can you catch a train to the area around CT? If not we could stay somewhere that evening then to CT.

You can find the Italian train schedules at www.trenitalia.com. Click on the British flag at the top for the English version. I think your best bet from Bergamo is to take the shuttle bus to the Milan rail station, then catch a train from there to La Spezia. Wizz Air is a young airline based in Hungary and I don't think anyone on this forum has had any problems with them.
