We are flying into Naples airport- what is the fastest and best method of transfer to Capri? Is it better to take the hydrofoil from Naples port or get a driver to Sorrento and take the hydrofoil to Capri from there?
We took a taxi to the ferry slip, easy. We don’t enjoy being on hydrofoils.
Thank you- I just don’t Want to be a on a boat with a million people.
This is a high-tourism area. If you have no interest in Sorrento, you might as well ferry from the Naples port, taxi (fixed rate) from the airport. Most of the ferries are not hydrofoils. Yes, some of them carry a few hundred passengers. From May to September, they will be full, or close to full. You may do better at midday, when fewer daytrippers are using them.
Obviously, the ferry from Naples is on the water longer, but the trip to Sorrento normally can't be less than an hour, car or commuter train.
