I purchased the Cinque Terre Train MS Card for one day card primarily to ride the trains between towns. Do I just board the train I want to get on or do I need to make a reservation?
Hi Ross -
Did you purchase it online, or at a CT station (if you're already in the CT)? If so it should be pre-dated for the date you purchased it for/intend to use it, and no other validation is necessary. Yes, all you do is get on any 2nd class regionale train (that's important as some of them passing through are higher-speed & the card doesn't apply) scheduled to stop at the next village on your agenda. You can start using the card the morning of its validity date; it expires at midnight of that day.
Oh, and it's good for the bus that travels between Corniglia's train station (at the bottom of the hill) and the village itself (top of the hill). :O)

No reservations and they do get quite crowded.
Thank you both, appreciate the details. I purchased the tkts on line as we'll be based in Monterosso for a few days the first week in Oct, so hoping the crowds will start to thin a little :-)
