We will be in Florence for a week for a meeting and plan a few day trips out. We want to tour the countryside - but what is the best way, in terms of getting the most out of the experience? Bus, or ? Best villages? etc. Thanks so much in advance.

It depends on where you go and what you want to see. Some places can only be reached by bus unless you rent a car. Other places can be reached by train. As for "best villages", it really depends on what you consider "best". Best in terms of no tourists, best in terms of the most to see, best in terms of just wandering and relaxing..... you really need to be more specific. I would suggest getting a guide book for Tuscany and doing a little research to see what is of the most interest to you. Donna
