Hi everyone.
As part of our 21 night Calabria/Sicily summer vacation in June/July, we will be in the Trapani/Favignana area for 4 nights (before driving to Palermo) and we have two options that we are considering (in each option, we would take a day to visit Levanzo, which is only a 10 minute ferry ride from Favignana):
Staying in Trapani the first night (arriving in Trapani at around 3-4 in the afternoon) then ferrying to Favignana the next morning for three nights. This would give us a few hours to walk Trapani's old town in the late afternoon and evening and have dinner there and then we would have almost three full days in Favignana as we would take an early morning ferry from Trapani
Staying in Favignana for the four nights (arriving in Favignana at around 5-6 in the afternoon) and taking a day trip to Trapani by ferry (about a 30 minute ferry ride). This would give us a more time to see Trapani but reduce our time in Favignana to about two days.
Staying in Favignana for three nights (arriving in Favignana at around 5-6 in the afternoon), forgetting Trapani and spending a day and night in Erice on our way back to Palermo, which would also give us more time in Palermo as we would arrive earlier in the day.
We will be landing in Naples then driving and staying in Tropea, Ortigia, Noto/Ragusa, Trapani/Favignana and Palermo during our road trip so staying a few nights on the beautiful island of Favignana sounds wonderful.
Which would you choose?
Thanks
