How to Have the Most time in the Vatican Museums

I don't know of any tours that only allow 10 minutes in the chapel but then I'm also not familiar with ALL of them. What tours are you looking at?

BTW " Skip the line" applies to ALL pre-purchased tours and timed-entry tickets to the Vatican Museums whether purchased from their own site or 3rd-party sites. What NO one skips the security-check line.

thomsent, as above ALL tours will be timed-entry and skip-the-line other than the security-check line. Any tour that ENDS in the Sistine will provide you all the time you want to spend in it.

I don't use tours from 3rd-party Trip Advisor or Viator. Look at what the Vatican itself offers. The site is in English:

Now I understand. Simply by purchasing tickets in advance- we will be able to get in a faster line for entry. We will still need to go through security.

One thing your daughter might like is going to the Sistine chapel first then when the museums open. We went to the museums a few years ago and the Sistine chapel was remarkable but it was rather crowded and the staff perpetually telling people over the loudspeaker to be quiet wasn’t very conducive to enjoying the art. When we went back this year we followed Romewise on you tubes advice and walked through the museums to the Sistine chapel first when it opened and were really able to savour it with only a couple of other people there.

We found a tour with Through Eternity. It is pricey- but it's a small group, with earphones, and we get 30 minutes in the Sistine Chapel! Worth it to us as that's the main reason we're going to Rome.
Tickets on the Vatican website- were sold out til 17:00- for the 3 days. We're thrilled- as ours will start at 9:00 am.

Through Eternity does a good job and the group musters away from the craziness. When they enjoin you to be pushy getting through the entry area, believe them. The cafeteria inside the complex is awful; consider carrying granola bars or similar.
