We are going to Venice in October and are considering the Dolomites. We will not have a car. Neither of us skiis and I'm wondering if it is worth the trip. Advice anyone?

We took the train to Bolzano and the TI office had day tours and we took a day trip that covered Alto Adige, Castleroto, Val Gardena. Well worth the time. Most of the people were Italians and we had a delightful time. Barbara

We took a day trip to the Dolomites from Venice , we didnot rent a car but there is a car service where we had a wonderful driver who took us at some lovely towns, I loved it, I am sure you guys will enjoy it too.
