From what cities does a boat go to Sardinia? Which is the easiest?
Spain, mainland Italy, mainland France, Sicily, Corsica.
How about a rough idea of a starting point, some other place you might be, or a place you're going next?
Here is some information which you might find useful:
UPDATE: Tirrenia Lines recently filed for bankruptcy/liquidation. Consequently, it's best to AVOID them. There are other companies offering good sea connections between mainland Italy and Sardinia.
Jack, we just got back. We went to Sardinia from Italy, and took Corisca's Ferries overnight car ferry (with our rental car) from Livorno( near Pisa) to Golfo Aranchi, and got an up graded cabin for $227 US.
The overnight ferry we took left at 11:30 PM and got in at 6 AM.
We could have also taken faster day ferries, or left from Civitavechia (near Rome), or taken a ferry to Cagliari.
Sorry I should have noted that we will be in Italy and am thinking area around Rome or north of there.
