How to get to Bologna and Naples? Help with Transportation!

Have 15 days in late July/early Aug - how do we get from Strasbourg, France to Bologna, Italy without having to change trains 3 times? We will fly in to Paris, TGV to Strasbourg then we want to go to Bologna/Ravenna/Florence area. Then from there we want to go to Naples/Capri/Pompeii, then hopefully fly from Naples to Nice for a few days then TGV back to Paris.

Problem is getting from Strasbourg to Bologna/Ravenna/Florence! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Using Matrix IT search, looks like you can get flights from Strasbourg to Bologna or Florence with one stop in Amsterdam on KLM. By train, looks like you could have only 2 changes (in Basel and Milan), then into Bologna.

There are some air travel options but at the height of the season, they might now be unaffordable. I would suffer through the rail trips to Bologna and the shorter one to Napoli. But if you’re only going for 15 days, I would drop Nice and fly back from Napoli to Paris. Otherwise you’ll be rushing from place to place and not really getting the time to enjoy them.
