yes, it seems not even the lower level ground could have that front facing Duomo view
Personally, my favorite view--it's a great overlook--is if you're facing the cathedral, walk to the right all the way down the path. You'll probably see a bunch of cats wandering around as well. The view is of the valley, rolling hills and what looks like a grey castle right in the middle. I have been told that used to be a monastery but is now some type of hotel or B&B.
