how to get from venice to florence with stopover in Pisa

I have family of 5. I wish to leave Venice, see Pisa and land in Florence at the end of the day. Difficult to find van large enough for only a day trip. Does not look there are tourbuses to pisa from Venice. Does not appear to be a good train line from Venice to Pisa. Any ideas?

With a connection time of 30 minutes in Florence, there's a train that leaves Venezia S Lucia at 08:27, arriving in Pisa at 11:49. Hopefully there are lockers or a baggage check for your bags. This train takes 3 hours, 22 minutes. Then there are direct trains back that take an hour or so. Most people would consider Pisa a day trip out of Florence, not out of Venice.

You've discovered why Pisa works much better as a daytrip from Florence. Consider going right to Florence from Venice and wait a day or two to go to Pisa. Happy travels.

Why don't you hire a car, driver or tour from Florence? If you look on a map you will see why.

What i ultimately decided was for a train from venice to florence in the morning, check into hotel with bags and take a bus tour that leaves florence at 1:45 PM.
