Please advise on the best way to get from Venice (staying by St. Mark’s) to the cruise port (Marghera) by 11:30a with luggage on a Sunday morning. Thank you.
Are you sure your cruise doesn't embark at the Fusina terminal? Does your cruise line not offer a transfer from the Stazione Marittima?
You could take a vaporetto to Piazzale Roma, then a taxi to the cruise terminal, if it is Fusina.
Have you asked your hotel for recommendations/assistance?
You must confirm the actual cruise port
Thank you. My cruise is with MSC and they say Marghera is the port. I hoped to do the cruise transfer but it is only from the airport and i’d have to be there by 10a and give them flight info so they can be sure I’d make their bus. It’s crazy because I’m flying to Venice days before the cruise, so flight info isn’t relevant ~ i’ll be coming from Venice!
Thank you Christine. I am staying in an apartment my friend booked, not a hotel. BUT i may call a local Venice hotel and ask them for best option and hopefully they will be willing to confirm best way. Marghera is the port for MSC.

EMBARKATION FOR CRUISES FROM VENICE - MARGHERA
All embarkation procedures, including baggage drop-off, are held at Venice Cruise Terminal in Venice Maritime Station (Venice Passenger Terminal), therefore guests are kindly asked not to reach autonomously Marghera port.
The cruise ship will depart from Marghera port. A transfer by ferry from Venice Cruise Terminal to Marghera port is organized by MSC Cruises.
Guests with disabilities or reduced mobility should contact their accredited travel agencies or the MSC contact center for special arrangements.

So you just need to get to the Stazione Marittima. Vaporetto from S. Marco to P. Roma, then walk to the station.
Walking to the Stazione Marittima from Piazzale Roma may be a bit tricky, as well as a long walk. Suggest you take the People Mover from Piazzale Roma to the first stop.
