After touring Florence, Orvieto and Sienna we go back to the Airport and need to get to the Port. Anyone got any great suggestions.... thanks, mardi

The train is the least expensive to the Port. Next you might try Airport Shuttle which Rick recommends.
What ship are you sailing and what date. I am also on a ship in October! Maybe share a ride and cut costs? How many people are traveling with you.

Least expensive way, if you can handle your luggage, is to take the FM1 regional train ( not Leos Express ) from FCO to Trastevere station - 5.50 Euros, then change platforms and wait for the train to Civitavecchia - 4.50 euros. It's an easy 10-15 walk from the Civitavecchia station to the port entrance where you must take a free shuttle bus to your ship. That's how we got to the port this past July from FCO.

Jeff you are so right but..........from what I can find out (from Ron in Rome) that there is a train strike on Oct. 11th just the time I need it "unless" it is cancelled?!?
Any other words of wisdom as a plan "B"?
