How to find the overnight train from Milan to Rome?

I am planning to take the overnight train from Milan to Rome, and can see it on the Eurail Timetable, and read about people taking it, but can't seem to find it at trenitalia.com to book a sleeper. It is suppose to leave at 23:20 and arrive in Rome at 07:23. Am I looking in the wrong place?

When are you looking for? Most trains after mid-June aren't showing up yet. I read on here last week that Trenitalia updates their timetables mid-June, so you ahve to wait until after that.

Thanks. I was beginning to wonder. I will need it for July 9th. So it must be not on the site yet. Can I still reserve a sleeper now, or do I need to wait until mid June?

The Frecciarossa makes the trip in less than 4 hours - the train you are looking for can be found on the Trenitalia site - start here:

http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/

Click on English (top center text link), and then enter Milan to Rome one way. Keep clicking through (the red "Next" button) and the last train seems to be the one you are talking about -

23:20 MI C.LE 07:23 RO TIB 08:03 1911 31,50 €

2nd class service
1st and 2nd class couchettes service
Optional reservation under payment

Thanks all for the help.

I finally called Euraide for assistance. They confirmed that Italy only updates the train schedules twice a year, and that they were behind on updating the second half of the year. If I looked for train schedules online for the first half, I could see the train times, etc. It meant that I couldn't book the sleeper for my trip in July until they updated the schedule, but there is no expectations that the train I want to take will not be available without changes.

Anyway, I had them book my overnight train reservations for me. I wish I had done that earlier, as they might have been able to help me save some money by booking ALL my train travel, instead of me buying a 15 day Global Eurail pass. At the time, it seemed that the costs would be similar either way, and I liked having the options a Global pass. After finializing my schedule and itinerary, it turns out that I probably would have spent much less on individual train tickets.

Bottom line, They will book the sleeper on that train for me as soon as possible, and they guarantee that I will have my reservations and receipts before I leave. So I will rest easy...
