How to find small town in southern Italy

We are extending our trip in Italy to include a day in the town my husband's parents came from. It is Adelphia di Bari and next to (or part of) the town of Montrone. It is in Apulia. It is not in the city of Bari. I am having a heck of a time finding it. We were there a while back, but my daughter drove us there. Does anyone know of that region. I can't even see where the train station is. Don't even know if that would help.
Would it be best to wait until we are in Rome then see if we can make a connection???
Would really like my son to see this very simple, little town,. There might even be a few relatives left.
tnx much

All you have to do is spell the name correctly and you can find it in Google Maps, Wikipedia, etc.
The town is called ADELFIA. Originally it was two townships (Canneto and Montrone) that decided to merge into one town (like my own Fremont in California, which is the Union of the towns of Irvington, Centerville, Niles, Warm Springs and Mission San Jose)
To get there go to Bari first then take a 25 min train ride to ADELFIA. The company running that rail line is called Ferrovie Sud Est. Below is the website.

Good grief! I should have known the spelling was incorrect. Thank you so much. do you think we can make that a day trip from Rome. there won'd be much there we want to do except the house and the oven the grandfather ran. And wallk around a bit......I don't think anyone is left. they were pretty old when we were there a while ago.
I have spent hours struggling with this! Thankyoy so much. as you can see I am tired, it is way after midnight... :)))))

Your post reminded me of something. My m-in-law was from Montrone, my f-in-law was from Canneto Well, there always seemed to be a bit of rivalry between them and their cities. And there was supposed to be a distance between them. We found out later that separation was the railroad line. We all got a good laugh out of that.

When we were there in 1995 or so, there were people who still went to the well to get their water. They had modernized a bit, tho, the well had a faucet handle. It was an amazing little place, mainly because it was so very different thann we are used to. Loved the people.

It would be a heck of a long day trip.... 4 to 6 hours each way on fast or fairly fast trains with no changes, then add getting the local train; similar time back when the train is available. That's a heck of a day.

Leave at 8 am arrive after noon; either turn around right away and back at quarter after one or wait until 1817 and get back to Roma Termini at half past ten.
