Hi, I am trying to buy tickets to the Accademia museum in Venice. I went to the museum website and clicked on the link to Online Booking (http://www.gallerieaccademia.org/reservations/online-booking/?lang=en), but the link took me to the Vivaticket website main page. On the Vivaticket website I could not find where to go to buy the Accademia museum tickets. Can anyone help? Thanks!!!

The website you posted is correct but you need to click on 'Acquista Qui il Tuo Biglietto '(buy your ticket here)
on the right side of screen, under 'Polo Museale Veneziano'
This will take you to this screen: http://ticket.gallerieaccademia.org where you can buy your ticket.
You can only book ticket from now until June 25th, so if you will be traveling after this date, you will have to wait.
Click on 'FAQ' at the very bottom of screen to get more info regarding ordering & paying for tickets.

Any time I want to go round the Accademia I just walk in the door. Straight ahead of you in the really neat high ceilinged entry room with the big staircase there is a ticket desk. I pay my money and go in. Really, I've never had a problem doing that.

The Accademia in Florence (where Michelangelo's David is) should definitely be booked in advance to avoid potentially huge lines. The Accademia in Venice does not need advance booking.

We went last month, walked in, no reservation or advance ticket, no problem. Got right in, not crowded at all. We enjoyed it very much.
