Hi Jenn. Are you staying at a hotel in Florence? If so just ask them to make the reservations for you. I simply emailed my hotel with the times I was hoping for. Virtually all of the hotels do this for no charge. You get an email confirmation number for each museum with a specific time. Show up 15 minutes early, give them the number, pay for the tickets plus a €4 reservation charge, and walk right in. The huge lines you hear about are for people without reservations. There is also a phone number where you can call direct but its much less hassle to have your hotel do this. Good luck...

I called directly last week to book for mid-June. It was easy! You can also book Medici Chapel times when you book Uffizi and Accademia.

Hi Jenn, I found the website www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/uffizi/ to offer reservations online (you reserve ahead, pay for the tickets and reservation fee when you arrive).

However, when I tried to make a reservation through that website, I could find only afternoon times available. I brought the question to posters on the Graffiti Wall and was given this helpful reply:

Dial 01139055294883 (dial it just like that from the US-you need to use the Canadian prefix) during office hours IN ITALY, which are Mon - Friday 0830 to 1830 Italy time. Be persistent, the hardest part is getting through, the line is often busy. That # should get you to an English-speaking operator, and you'll end up with days and an entry slot for each museum.

I did as instructed. The first time I called I was put on hold for 5 minutes, then told to call back later. The second time I called (about 8:30am PST) I got right through and got the reservation times I wanted for both Uffizi and Accademi. Good Luck!

Thanks, Rosemary, I used your previous post for the number. I called at 7:30 Eastern time. The initial greeting is in Italian, but then you can press 2 to get an English speaking operator. I was on hold for less than 2 minutes. It was very fast. There is a 4 euro charge for this service, but I think that's cheaper than b-ticket. You will get a confirmation number, you pay when you pick up your tickets.

In reference to Margaret's post, questioning whether b-ticket is more expensive than calling, it is the same price.
