I am travelling to Italy March 26 through April 5. I am flying into Florence and out of Rome.
2 nights in Florence. Train to Orvieto
2 nights in Orvieto. Train to Rome
5 nights in Rome with a day trip to Pompeii.
There is so much more I would like to go but just dont have the time on this trip. I will save Cinque Terre and Venice for my next trip to Italy.
Sounds OK. Personally I would spend more time in Florence but obviously time is an issue for you. 3 places would be the maximum with the time you have so I think it sounds good. What ever you decide I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Yeah, Florence for some reason is not that huge for me, but Rome is. Everyone tells me this will change once I am in Florence though.
No, I am going to take a day trip to Civita & Bagnoregio one of the days.
