What is an appropriate amount to tip in Venice?
Do we give the person who carries our bags to our room 2 euros or 2 euro per bag?
Do we leave a tip for the person who cleans the room? How much per day?
How much should we tip in restaurants?
How much should we tip the water taxi driver (if anything)?
If the concierge makes dinner reservations or buys us tickets for the museums or other services, do we tip for these services?

Thank you Steve for the link. It does not address tipping in a hotel. The reason I want to know about a hotel is that we are returning to a hotel which we visited last year. The chef concierge sent me some cash because a vendor to which he sent me did not pay a fee that the vendor had promised. I returned the cash to the concierge; another person at the hotel indicated that the money did not come from the person who sent it to me but from pooled tips.
Hence, I wish to know what is appropriate tips in a hotel, and for what services.
