I am scheduled to arrive (from the US on USAirways) into Rome (FCO) at 9 AM; and, will need to catch a flight to Sicily (either PMO or CTA). What is a comfortable (safe) amount of time to plan for going through customs, claiming baggage, checking into one of the carriers flying to Sicily (I've yet to book my flight), going back through security, and boarding. Is a noon departure too risky? Or, should I try 1 or 2 PM? While I've travel to the EU many times, I've never flown with a new ticket and plane change before. Thanks for suggestions.
