How much is the fare for Alilaguna from Marco polo airport to Venice

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find out how much the fare is from the airport to Foundamenta Nove in Venice. I also wonder if I should book and prepay the ticket on line on the Alilaguna website ahead of time to avoid wait and maybe get a better fare. It seems to be costing $12 euro for one way ticket. Any suggestion??
Thank you!

I saw the fare as 13 Euro. I'd just buy the ticket there. One last thing to worry about.

I'm stunned. Where is Steve? Normally he'd have posted at least two answers to this question ;)

There appears to be no direct service to Fondamente Nove. The Orange line to Madonna Dell'Orto would LOOK closest but given the canal system that may not be so! Accom providers usually give directions as to the best/most direct route.

You can save 1 euro by buying in advance on line. We bought our tickets (March 2010) at the desk in the Arrivals hall with no problem, paid 13 euro.

Edit - Oops re first statement - not paying attention on the journey, especially as we took the Linea Blue to our hotel stop!!!

Linea Blu on Alilaguna stops at Fondamente Nove. It would be the second stop.

The fare is 13 euros one way. You can get the tickets at the airport when you arrive. there's not usually much of a line.

After exiting the arrivals area turn left at the first walkway. the ticket booth is a short ways down.

The docks are located about a ten minute walk from the terminal near the old teminal building.

The boat you want will be marked with the Alilaguna logo in Blue. It is the only shuttle that stops at Fondamente Nove. There are 4 boats that use the same dock.

Thanks for asking that question. We will be doing the same thing in May, going to San Marco. Don't know which boat, but will find out there I guess.

Jane Alilaguna has a great website. No need to not find out now.

there are three line that go to San Marco. Blu, Rosso and Oro. Oro (gold) is a new faster line with only two stops. It's not going to traveling on the lagoon any faster just no stops, but it costs almost twice as much 25 euro.

I personaaly like Linea Rosso because it takes the canal through the middle of Murano instead of stopping at the edge. Then goes to the Lido and then the main island.

Can anyone tell me about the private taxi through Venicelink? My parents have a noon flight to NY and I would like to book them a private taxi to the airpot (to get there at 9am). It seems that if I do it on this site, you need to bring a voucher to the airport to turn it in for tickets? They are taking a train into the city, so won't be at the airport before they need to get there to depart.

I'm really confused.

I don't care that much about the extra euros to get them on a private taxi (compare to the shared its about 30 more euros). Its my father's 60th birthday and I don't want them to have to get on the Alilaguna shuttle at 7:20am, if they can relax a little.

My only concern is that they actually get picked up and get to the airport and I'm not paying for a taxi that doesn't show up.

Thank you in advance.
