We have hired a private guide in Lecce and were wondering about how much to tip?
Being Canadians the difference between us and a canoe is that a canoe tips!

LOL nice joke! I will have to use that one :) Is it a private tour? If so your guide would probably appreciate a 15% tip or so. For a group tour, less than that.

If the guide is independent (not working for an agency), I wouldn't tip anything. If he/she thinks they should be paid more, they can just increase their rate. Does that seem harsh?
