Salemi is about an hour’s drive from Aeroporto di Palermo Falcone e Borsellino (Punta Raisi). You could rent a car at the airport.
All public transport connections would be from Palermo.
Take the train or the bus from Punta Raisi to Palermo.
Take the train from Palermo to the Salemi-Gibellina station.

You could also take the Autoservizi Salemi bus from Palermo to Salemi.
