How many days in Milan? (1 or 2 days?)

Hi,

We are planning to go to Italy (Florence + Milan) for 4 days and trying to figure out how many days to stay at Milan....

How many days should we allocate between Florence and Milan? We heard from many people that Milan is pretty industrialize and there aren't much to do? We have already been to Florence once and thinking to explore outside of Florence (to Tuscany) this time. Do you suggest we allocate 3 days in Florence and one day in Milan? or 2 days for each city?

Thanks!

Are you flying to Milan? If not, how about zero days in Milan?
If you fly out of Milan then for sure you have to spend the night before your flight in Milan, therefore just go there the day before and visit Milan that day.

Hi,

We are planning to flying into Florence. Then we will take the train to Nice/Provence afterwards. Since we will be passing thru Milan, thinking maybe to do a quick stop there...Is Milan not worth for a quick visit even just for one day?

Is there a luggage storage place near the train station in Milan that we can store our luggage for a half day before hopping on the train to Nice?

thanks.

I think Milan is worth the visit if you have to go there, or if you have spent lots of time in the rest of the amazing parts of Italy. I had to be there and enjoyed it, but I would never trade it out for any of the other wonderful places to visit.

Agree with Terry Kathryn. Wouldn't stop or spend a day in Milan unless I had to fly in or out. Did that for years because of family visits, but now I go out of my way to land in Rome. I love Rome, and spend several days both in and out. Florence is fabulous, so many sites, and if skipping Milan will add a day to Florence, I highly recommend it. You can day-trip to Siena and other places if the Beautiful Florence doesn't keep you totally mesmerized! (Which I doubt.)
