How long to get to Last Supper from Milan Centrale

Our train from Venice will arrive at Milan Centrale at 11:25 am. How much time should I allow to check luggage and then get to the Last Supper via the metro? I know we should get there at least 20 minutes prior to your appointment time. What I am really looking for is what is the earliest I should make a reservation for the Last Supper?

Space to see Leonardo's Last Supper is limited. Last week I reserved a spot for early May and there was only time slot available for the day I had open. Check the ticket website to see what tickets are available, then allow a half-hour from the station to the church by metro. You will need to allow time for a line at the luggage storage as well, there can be no line or a long one.

As Zoe said, lines at baggage check can very, so there is no way to predict that. With that caveat and metro timetables varying, you can catch the metro directly from Centrale to Cadorna, get off and walk a few blocks to the Last Supper. If you have not been to Milano before and are not heading out of Milano that same day, give yourself at least a couple of hours to get there.

The closest Metro station is at Cadorna Station, and the church is about a 10 minute walk from there. It seems like tour companies suck up all the reservations, then you have to buy their tour to get in. We had to do this last year. Having said that, the 3 hour walking tour with a French grad student was very interesting and informative. He had a lot of "foreigner's" insights into Milan and the Milanese.

How did you get a ticket reservation for May? I just checked the Last Supper website and May tickets do not go on sale until Feb 12th. I am planning on being on that site at 12:01 am (Italian time) on that date.

The tour companies that give 'tours" to the Last Supper are in reality scalpers.

I had several different reservations to buy for myself and friends, so I used a broker. It costs a little more but it saved me a couple of hours going to separate websites. I got tickets for Leonardo's Last Supper, the Borghese Gallery, the Scrovegni Chapel and the Accademia, all for May.
