how long does it take to get from The Last Supper to Milano Centrale

We will be spending the day in Milano in early May. We plan to check our bags at the bag check at Milano Centrale in the morning, visit the Duomo, have lunch and then we have tickets at 4:15 to see The Last Supper. Is it possible to make it back to Milano Centrale in time to catch a train at 6:05pm? Is it correct that if our reservation is at 4:15, then we spend 15 minutes acclimating and then 15 minutes in front of the fresco? So at approximately 4:50 we could be walking towards the Cadorna station, take the green line metro, collect our bags and catch a train. We could buy the train tickets ahead of time. Is this feasible or should I plan to find a later train? This is on a Saturday afternoon, does that make any difference to the frequency of the metro? Thank you for any suggestions/assistance!

thank you Sam, that is very helpful info. So it seems possible, the real unknown will be how long it takes to get our bags back at the baggage check at Centrale, and we won't know that until we get there... Is it stupid to purchase the tickets ahead of time for the 6:05pm train? I was thinking of buying them ahead as that might mean the difference between catching it and missing it.

Amanda, we had almost the same logistics a few years ago. It worked perfectly for us - no issues. I believe it was also a Saturday and we made the trip in the exact timing indicated on the metro web site. Also, The Last Supper reservations were right on time. I do recommend buying you tickets ahead of time and going quickly. Good luck. Jim
