How long of a trip is it from the Cinque Terre to Venice by train. Do you need to travel through Florence? Thank you.

Depending on the run you choose, the journey will take 6.0hrs-7.0hrs. Most runs will require a train change in Florence but there are a few runs that do not.
One such run that we used is the 7:52am run out of La Spezia that has one train change in Bologna. This is one of the quickest runs at 5hrs. 42min. You can catch this same train in Monterosso at 7:35am.
