how is the opera house area in Rome?

Is it a good place to stay? Good choice for a hotel location?

Do you mean Teatro dell'Opera? It's near the front entrance to Termini. Not my favorite place to stay in Rome. Nearer Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori are better, IMHO.
