I will be taking a ferry from Sorrento to Ischia at the end of this month. How early do I need to get to the port? There seems there is just one ferry a day from Sorrento to Ischia and it leaves at 9;30am.
Same question for other ferries that I will take...........Ischia to Capri (appears to be only one a day so I really don't want to miss it!!) and then Capri back to Naples.
I have no idea how much time is needed.......an hour? Or can I show up 15 minutes before and buy my ticket? I tend to feel more comfortable erring on the side of caution and being extra early places. But I also don't want to sit at the dock for an hour if there is absolutely no need for it! Thanks

Difficult to tell but it is a busy time of year. If it was me I would buy a ticket as early as possible then go and have something to eat (breakfast?) or drink at a cafe and enjoy the view across the Bay. Google Street View (Marina Piccola) will show you what the harbour area is like.
