I've seen several posts lately about dates of upcoming train strikes. I'm heading to Italy in October and would like to be aware of potential strikes. I have looked through the Trentalia site and don't see where they post this. Could someone please provide a link for this? Thanks.
You go here to Ron In Rome's posting on the topic. It has all the info you could want, including links to a page that tracks upcoming strikes. FWIW, there doesn't seem to be one scheduled for October. Yet. Happy travels.
As far as I know, which is not that far in Italian administrative law, the Italian government has established a regulatory body whose task is to act as a clearinghouse that collects, from the unions, nationwide and local strike information and then publishes for consumers a scheadule of those planned work outages. Yes, I realize that this is Italy so things are, to say the least, subject to a certain degree of uncertainty; but, nevertheless, here it is: http://www.commissionegaranziasciopero.it/
Thanks you both for the links provided. Ron in Rome's website has been invaluable, but I didn't realize he had this information on strikes. Good news October is looking clear of them so far. Keeping my fingers crossed, it's not an issue I will have to deal with but it is certainly better to be informed in the event.
