If we take the train to Bolzano is there a bus that would take us to Ortisei? We do not have car. We are trying to decide which town to stay in for 3 nights, Bolzano, Ortisei or Castelrotto. We like to hike and we would like to be in the mountains but we do not have a car.

Hi Andrea. No need for a car. Stay in Castelrotto, Ortisei, St Christina, or Selva, not Bolzano. Regular busses from Bolzano; takes about an hour. Also easy, regular busses between the towns. Enjoy your trip!

There are buses - 350 and 170 that go from Bolzano to Ortisei.

PS, we are staying at Stua Catores in case that is a helpful. It's in Ortisei.
