My fiancé and I are leaving for Venice next month for the first time at the end of this month. I bought the museum pass so we can skip the line at the Dodge's palace, but I really would like to know WHERE I go to actually skip the line as I heard the regular line can be very long and it may be confusing to know where to go. Is there a separate line and where does that begin? Any suggestions are welcome and many thanks in advance!
At the doge's palace - the side facing the square, not the water - there is an entrance. There is a long line to purchase tickets. Right next to it is the reserved ticket entrance. Take your museum pass to the reserved ticket entrance. You will be able to easily stroll right in. You just present your pass to the gate guard. There was no line at the reserved ticket entrance when we were there. Or, there may be just a couple of people in front of you. It's easy to find. Just look for reserved ticket holder entrance.
