We were in Italy, Pisa to be exact 10-01-2015. A few days ago we received a letter from the Municipality of Pisa stating we circulated in a restricted zone without authorization. ZTL. Nowhere on this letter does it tell us how to pay, except by wire transfer not available in the U.S. at least that is what I read somewhere. I've checked online sites, googled where to pay, clicked links stating you can pay using paypal and apparently the information on the letter that I use says either the ticket is not payable or it can't be found in archive. I have determined it is a legit fine, I just want to know where to pay it at. Can anyone help, please. After 4 or 5 hours spent trying to find this information on the internet I've come to you.

There are a number of European bill pay services online that will charge your credit card in dollars and pay in Euros. You just need to provide them with the city's routing and account number--and ID # on the ticket. They charge just a little for their services.
Same thing happened to me in Venice for 1.2 mph over and the radar-camera was on the causeway going over. to the island.

You know we got a parking ticket in Pisa in 2002 and could never figure out how to pay for it either. We never heard anything and have been back to Italy multiple times since then and haven't seen a warrant out for our arrest:-)

Thank you both for your information. I found a site online that says you can pay using paypal and clicking on that page it wants the ticket number. I have put in every number on that form and I get an error message saying it can't be found in archive. And on another site I found a place that said I could pay and I got an error message saying it was not payable.

Hi darioalb, Thank you. I've tried that page several times and either I don't know what the ticket/form/record number is they want or I'm typing it in wrong. I've tried every number on the letter they sent us. I've left off the letters as it says, It also tells me the date is wrong, maybe I'm typing that incorrect as well. There is a place to fill in Data violazione (gg/mm): translates to Data breach (dd / mm): I tried day month, month year, day year, and backwards. It keeps giving me an error message. Do you know where I'm suppose to find the information they're asking for on the letter they sent? Or how I'm suppose to type it in? One thing said only 8 characters, no letters and I tried that still getting error messages saying not archived or unpayable or incorrect information. I'm at my wits end trying to get this taken care of and I've spent more time on line searching and trying than I'm getting sleep. I certainly appreciate yours and anyone who can help me through this.
