How do I get tickets to the full experience with underground at colosseum

Every time I try to book these tickets on the official ticking site, it says they are no more available. I am booking at exactly 30 days in advance of my trip. Waking up at 2 AM so I can book as soon as the tickets open. Refreshing every 15 minutes to try to see if more tickets become available. Sometimes I will see some tickets available. Click on them and attempt to put them in my cart and then it will say they aren’t available anymore. I feel like there are bots or something buying them up and the only way I can get these tickets through a tour.

While I don't know as I agree that bots are the problem - although they could be - tickets that include the underground are THE most in-demand tickets in Rome. There are only so many and, yes, they sell out in a flash. Heck, there are future visitors/families using multiple devices at the same time to try and land these critters. Companies who are selling tours that include it are usually doing so before they actually have tickets so we've seen any number of complaints about cancelled or rescheduled tours. Other companies have stopped including that piece altogether

As an example, I picked this up from the website of a popular company whose tours are generally reviewed positively:

"Can my tour be canceled or moved to a different day?
Yes, it is possible. Colosseum Underground tours are very exclusive and are subject to changes, but we’re experts in this field and have staff dedicated to ensuring the best possible customer experience. If we are unable to acquire tickets on your behalf, we will let you know at least 14 days before your tour date, in which case we'll add you to a comparable tour or offer a full refund."

If it makes you feel better, you can see down into a large, uncovered part of the underground from many points above so if you can't land those coveted tickets, all is certainly not lost; there are more interesting things to see in Rome!

I was not able to obtain tickets for an underground tour from the official site either. Our group of four secured underground tour tickets from a dependable third party online (for a premium). Those tickets also included guided access to The Forum and Palatine Hill. The total group size was small. The overall combination tour was excellent. The underground tour portion was conducted by an official Colosseum guide. The experience for that area was just okay. It wasn’t disappointing but it wasn’t really revealing either (possibly due to my expectations). Essentially, except for a few tucked away areas, much could be easily viewed from the platform immediately over the underground area. The guide was informative.
