I'll be flying into Rome (Ciampino) and taking a train to Naples... how far is train station and what is best way to get there
Most airport have a website that gives information on connections to/from the city center and other destinations.
Kristin,
The Cotral bus to Anagnina metro stop that Steve wrote about is inexpensive and straightforward, but the bus can't accommodate all the arriving passengers. So either make stategic use of your elbows to be the first through the airport to the bus stop:-)or be prepared to wait awhile. Actually, Ciampino is compact and the bus stop is just out the front doors. So, unless there are several flights arriving at about the same time, it's possible, if you don't dawdle as I did, to get through quickly and be one of the first in line for the bus.
Have a great trip!
We were in Italy last week and used the Terrevision Express Shuttle to get from Termini to Ciampino Airport and it was easy.
Though the Cotral bus to Anagnina metro stop is less expensive it is a little more complicated as it does require a change.
I'd recommend the Terrevision Express option--it runs about every 30 minutes and takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic.
