We joined Cartafreccia for Trenitalia but never see an option to book a specific one way senior fare.
We're traveling from Ravenna to Milano Centrale in June.
All we see is a 78 Euro fare for us both but no option to pick a senior rate.
One thing in the fine print when we checked "Senior Offer" was if fare is less than 38 euros you don't get senior rate.
Did we get ii right?
Any help is appreciated
Log in, make a search for a train running 12 days from today , pick the base fare, see what happens.
Basically it's a non flexible Base fare for seniors and it's offered only on some Freccia trains. If your plans are set the SuperEconomy tickets are usually cheaper.
Italotreno's offer for seniors is better: https://www.italotreno.com/en/train-offers/italo-senior
There are also Italo's promo codes, but you must subscribe to their newsletter here: https://www.italotreno.com/it/offerte-treno/codicepromo

When I look at the Freccia Senior, I see this:
If you are a CartaFreccia member and over 60 years of age, you can travel on Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains for €29 and €39 depending on your chosen route.
So it looks like you are getting the the 39 EUR deal. It also looks like there are better prices for Super Economy tickets.
