How bad are lines in Florence right now?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the help in the previous post! I am in Italy now, and it has been amazing. I will be going to Florence soon, and wanted to check in regarding how bad thes lines are, especially for Accademia and Uffizi. Thanks!

Do you have tickets with a reserved admission time?

Yeah that's the issue :/ I was scared of issues entering Italy so I didn't book tickets for Florence until now. Many days when I'm there are fully booked, so I am trying to see how to get in the day of.

I wish you luck. I thought they were only allowing timed tickets, but I likely have it mixed up with somewhere else

You might try booking a tour with Walks of Italy or a similar company

I was in Florence last week. I was actually able to get a same day ticket to the Uffizi. It seems that it is a little easier in the afternoon. Most days seemed to have at least some availability. I did not go to Accademia or inside the Duomo because I have been there before. I had no problem getting into any other church or museum, and I went to many. The only other museum that I needed a reservation for was Orsanmichele, which is only open on Tuesday mornings and Saturday afternoon. The lines for the Duomo were unbelievably long since you can not make a reservation for the church and they are limiting the amount of people. I would recommend skipping that as there are so many other churches to see. One highlight for me was the Bargello. I went at 8:45 when they opened and basically had the place to myself. Also if you get the combined ticket to the Uffizi and Pitti Palace, you can just go to the Pitti Palace whenever you want after you go the Uffizi.
