how are the crowds and weather?

Leaving for Rome tomorrow. Six days there and then a week in Tuscany. How are the crowds now? Also I heard the weather has been unseasonably warm - How warm is it?

I didn't know that weather.com had information about the crowds.

Kathy, I got back a few days ago. It was very busy in Rome and in Florence. The weather (wunderground.com) was just starting to turn on Monday. Similar to what we have here in Pittsburgh right now. 60's and breezy but sunny. The weather was, in my opinon, perfect. You could be outside all day and never break a sweat.

when I was there the last few days of Sept. there was still quite a bit of people. It was hot and humid, be ready to sweat alot =) if its still the same. I think it was mid 80's but humid too.

Kathy, forgive me for not answering both of your questions. Feel free to cut my pay in half. :-)

crowds are still huge in major tourist sites. Definitely go early or late (like dawn, to the Trevi Fountain!) Be strategic about avoiding crowds in mid day and you can have a great time. our trip is 20 days and we are now in Florence, where it has turned cool but it still gorgeous. Check online for weather forecasts. We had great weather throughout.

I am in Ravello right now but was in Rome since Tuesday. It was very warm/humid. If you reserve spots at sights like the colosseum and the Vatican you can walk right past the long lines. In Ravello we had rain yesterday and it was cold and breezy. So maybe the weather in Rome is cooling off

Kathy
Great question and I am so thankful. HOpe you did not cut any ones income in half for not hearing your full question. LOL;) I too have questions and they don't get answered they get critiqued:). I am happy that you responded the way you did. Cheers!

I would think that if you ask two questions and one of them gets answered, that "Thank you" would be an appropriate response.

If the process for picking the next co-chairs of the Beknighted Order of Steves Helpliners, Puget Sound Chapter, is still open, then the joint nominees are obvious by acclamation.
