Our last stop in Italy at the end of September 2013 will be Milan. We plan to spend two days/three nights there. Our flight leaves on October 1st at 8:00am so I was hoping to stay at a hotel that has shuttle service to the airport but will also be central for visiting the sites in Milan. Does anyone have a recommendation for us?

Linate Airport is the closest airport to Milan on the east side of the city. If you go to Hotels.com and filter for "Linate," you'll find dozens of decently priced hotels within 5 miles of the airport. You can click on to the hotels' details to see which ones have airport transportation.
