I'll be traveling to Rome later this year! I have a ton of food allergies and I'll need to prepare my own food, so I'm searching for accommodations that include at least a fridge and a stove, if not an oven. I'd rather have the reliability of a hotel, having someone at the front desk and all that, but understand regular hotels don't typically have kitchenettes in that area. I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations on one that does, or recommendations for an Aparthotel? I've been scouring booking.com, but let me know if there's a better site for my needs! TIA :)
There's no front desk, but we stayed at an Incentrum apartment and thought it was wonderful.
I always use booking and 99% of the time book apts. Check the reviews because some apts are managed by their owners who are very interested in interacting with their renters and that might be an option for you.
Hotel Smeraldo, very close to Campo de' Firori, has a few apartments/suites with small kitchens.
We had a really nice stay at Hotel Mozart in one of their apartments (Ripetta Suite). It’s a few blocks from the main hotel, but we checked in at the front desk. The location was great, walkable to the Spanish Steps and the metro there
It had a kitchenette, which I’m nearly certain included a stove. There was 1 bedroom and a living area, which they converted to twin beds for my kids.
